About Bluegrass Animal Hospital in Knoxville, TN
In May 2003, Bluegrass Animal Hospital opened at its present location at 1439 Ebenezer Road in Knoxville, TN. The owners of Bluegrass Animal Hospital are Mary Rice, RN and Cristi Moser, DVM. The practice, formerly Groves Animal Hospital, was purchased in December of 2002. The old hospital location was at 724 South Peters Road. Dr. Moser worked for Dr. Groves from November of 2001 until the practice was purchased in December of 2002. Our 5600 sq. foot facility is located on 4 acres with nine large fenced exercise yards and 29 indoor runs. The hospital property is monitored 24 hours a day with security surveillance cameras. Our hospital offers state of the art diagnostic equipment to meet the needs of our clients and their pets. Since the opening at the new location, Bluegrass Animal Hospital has continued to grow and provide its patients with exceptional veterinary care.
Bluegrass Animal Hospital continues to provide the most current medical treatments to our patients. Our hospital offers ultrasound, radiographs, dental cleanings, preventative medical care, pharmacy, laboratory, tonometer and surgery. We offer housecall appointments, as well as housecall euthanasia services. Bluegrass Animal Hospital strives to exceed your expectations through our caring and professional staff.
Bluegrass Animal Hospital offers boarding and grooming services to our clients. We require that our patients have vaccinations and fecal exams to board or have grooming performed at Bluegrass Animal Hospital. Our canine patients must have had a Bordetella vaccine and a fecal examination within 6 months of boarding or grooming and a Rabies and Distemper vaccine within the last year. Our feline patients are required to have a fecal exam within the last 6 months of boarding and a Rabies and FVRCP vaccine within the last year. If our feline patients are outdoor pets, they are required to have a Feline Leukemia vaccine too. If your pet needs to have any of these procedures, Bluegrass Animal Hospital will gladly perform the services when your pet arrives. While your pet boards, our kennel staff monitors, feeds and exercises our patients. Our boarding patients are checked, fed and exercised throughout the day during regular business hours. The kennel staff cares for all of the patients twice daily over the weekend and holiday shifts. On holidays and weekends, a veterinarian is on site at the facility in the mornings to monitor all of our patients and help ensure their well-being.
